Privacy Policy

ThreadCave is a personal tool for saving and organizing posts shared from Threads and other supported apps. This policy explains what information ThreadCave handles and how it is used.
Information ThreadCave handles
Saved content and settings
ThreadCave may store the posts you choose to save, including post text, URLs, author and post metadata, tags, thumbnails or avatars, read status, and app preferences. This information is stored on your device for the app's core features.
Optional Google account and cloud synchronization
If you choose to link a Google account for backup or synchronization, ThreadCave receives the account information made available by Google Sign-In, such as your email address and account identifier. ThreadCave uses OAuth access rather than your Google password.
When cloud backup or synchronization is enabled, ThreadCave stores the backup and synchronization data you select in the app's private data area in your own Google Drive. ThreadCave also uses Firebase Authentication, Realtime Database, Cloud Functions, and Firebase Cloud Messaging to authenticate the account, coordinate synchronization between your devices, and deliver synchronization signals. These services may process an account identifier, device identifier, synchronization state, and notification token; saved post content is synchronized through your Google Drive.
Subscriptions
ThreadCave Pro subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. ThreadCave receives subscription or purchase status needed to provide Pro features. Google handles payment details and payment processing under Google's own terms and privacy policy; ThreadCave does not receive your full payment card number.
How information is used
- To save, display, search, tag, restore, and organize the content you choose to store.
- To provide optional backup and synchronization across your devices.
- To verify Pro subscription status and provide requested features.
- To deliver synchronization notifications when synchronization is enabled.
- To maintain, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Sharing and third-party services
ThreadCave does not sell your personal information and does not share it with advertisers. Optional account, cloud, notification, and subscription features rely on Google Sign-In, Google Drive, Firebase, and Google Play Billing. Those providers process information according to their own policies and the choices you make in their services.
Retention and deletion
Local saved content remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. You control files stored in your Google Drive and can delete ThreadCave backup files from Drive at any time. You can also unlink the Google account or turn off synchronization in ThreadCave.
Request deletion of account-associated ThreadCave data: email contactdevlpr@gmail.com with the subject “ThreadCave account deletion request”. We will use the request to identify and delete ThreadCave account-associated Firebase records and synchronization metadata. Please do not send your Google password. Data stored in your personal Google Drive is controlled by you and should be deleted from Drive by you; we can provide assistance if needed.
Security
ThreadCave uses authenticated Google and Firebase services and encrypted network connections for data sent to those services. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
ThreadCave is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a separate child-directed service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when ThreadCave's features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are published.
